This client had a large, deep airing cupboard which was being used for bedding, towels and outdoor work clothes. We sorted through the towels first and folded them into piles dependent on their size and made sure they were in easy reach. Next we went through the bedding and checked which fitted the bed. As the bedding is not used daily, we put that all on the top shelf. Finally we sorted all of the clothes into summer and winter wear, putting the latter at the back and ensuring the clothes currently in use were at the front. We used two tubs on the floor for the socks and other items that did not need folding but could be found easily. Some of the items that were no longer needed will get a second life as dusters/rags and the towels went for animal bedding.
