This client's living room had become a catch-all space for things that didn’t really have a home. Craft supplies from the craft room had spilled over, and items without a clear place were left out, creating a sense of overwhelm. Although the client had plenty of good intentions for the space, the clutter made it difficult to relax in, or use the room in an enjoyable way.
We began by making a plan; deciding where each category of items should live. Craft materials were gathered up and moved back into the craft room (ready to be sorted at a later date), which instantly freed up space. We then worked through the living room in small, manageable sections, decluttering and organising as we went. Every item was given its own dedicated home so it could be easily put back and tidiness could be maintained in the future.
An important part of the process was showcasing the client's cherished Lego collection with themes displayed around the room adding both character and enjoyment. The end result is a welcoming, functional living room that is easier to maintain and truly reflects the client’s interests and needs.
